I don't understand him describing the thing. He's blind, how would he know one way or the other what kind of wood or shape it is or anything else.

In the comments someone said he's legally blind, which means the amount of vision he could have is pretty open. Either that or he went blind fairly recently because he looks down at his guitar when he touches it or points things out and a totally blind person wouldn't do that.
