i have had a marshall mg100dfx amp for about 3-4 years and about 3 weeks ago something popped and it started smelling of burnt plastic. its not the power cable cos ive tried a few so something's fucked up inside the amp. i have absolutely no fucking clue when it comes to electronics and internal design of amplifiers, so this may be a common thing, but i would appreciate any knowledge or advice.

i havent contacted marshall due to the fact that they'll see me as a mug and rip me off.

any help would be much appreciated.

Open it up and see if you can find what's burned out. You might be able to replace it yourself.

thats what you get for buying a cheap non cab amp, it blows up because they're cheaply made and everyone knows that Marshalls are the best so they make tiny cheap models and people buy them because they think "Marshalls are the best".....i think i have made my point =]
