My friend had a cheap ESP guitar and that left a bad taste in my mouth after playing it but I played a higher-end one at Guitar Center and was really surprised.

as for bassphemy...i played a cheaper Viper 400 that I didn't like, but any of the 1000 series sound great. for metal, at least

I played the EC-1000 at samash, the sound is pretty fucking mean. I just didn't like how the upper frets were really small. If I was playing strictly rhythm guitar for a metal band, I would be all over that guitar.

Do you really think that a PRS is a worthwile investment since you already have a fixed bridge, dual humbucker guitar?

Not sure I'd ever get a les paul style guitar, but it looks nice in any case.
This reminds me. I think a while back I was requested to take pics of my C-7 Blackjack and never did.
I think I'll clean'er up a little bit and do so.
