How do you choose the right guitar teacher?

my friend takes lessons from a teacher that teaches jazz/blues/metal. he's actually improved a lot after a month or so. 80$ a month.

he knows what you suck at. if he ask syou what do you want learn today?.. fuck it. find another teacher.

I took metal guitar lessons for 40$ a month until i learned everything the teacher could teach me so now i just look online for cool new things to try out.
