Um, question

I've noticed something with my RG7420; whenever I play any note on the high E, including playing it open, the note oscillates as though it were out of tune with another note being played. It's the same sound you get when you tune your guitar using harmonics and two harmonics are ever so slightly out of tune, with that rapid quivering in the note. However, THIS IS THE ONLY NOTE BEING SOUNDED. It does it when I mute the other strings as well. Anyone got any ideas as to what's causing it and how to fix it?

Sounds like it might be phase related, pickups maybe :?

check your intonation.
If the bridge saddle is a bit back or forward, while the notes on most of the fretboard are correct, when you decrease the distance between the fret and the bridge, it could be "between" a note causeing that effect.

Pabass is probably right, intonation.
