Yeah, that was pretty fucking cool. I swore for the first 20 seconds or so it was either 2 guitars or the video was out of sync w/ the audio, but it's just the guy's technique.

I hate videos like this, they make me realise how much I suck
I wonder what tuning he's using? Open major? His right hand work is pretty amazing with all the tapped harmonics.

The plucked chord progression around 2:00 is so slick sounding. Also I'm wondering what that rag's purpose is hanging from the nut area. Supporting gang affiliation? Dampening?

Dampening. The Bloods don't have white members. Other dampening implements include scrunchies, panty hose, and thick ropes of cum.
Seriously, the dampening behind the nut keeps unwanted resonances to a minimum & makes tapping sound cleaner. Try it sometime. Just don't use something gay-looking to dampen with!

That's pretty cool. What is the rhythmic clicking, a click track he sequenced or his foot tapping something?

He's slapping/flicking the guitar body, I think.

I think it's his thumb on the string. Like Eddie Van Halen on the intro to Mean Streets, except more pronounced.

Without watching the video again, I think you're right.

My mind can't comprehend playing the chords and melody at the same time... The closest I can get to that type of style is playing some of Hendrix ballads like Little Wing. Beyond sick video...
