tonedeaf and not having perfect pitch are different. i hate fuckers who can't tune a guitar without a tuner. stop playing.

I can tune by ear, but generally the times when I have to bother tuning (and the Jazz bass miraculously seems to stay pretty precise) it's usually in a loud club or bar where I can't hear the notes well enough to rely on it.

I have a tuner

You make so many unsubstantiated claims and yet you have trouble believing something so simple, and plausible? It's a fixed bridge, it holds tune fine.

I think that was less a test of tone-deafness and more a game of Simon.

Surely memory has a lot to do with this as well. I bet there are people who could tell you the exact difference between everyone of those pieces if they were slightly shorter.

I got 77.8 btw

Nah, most of that shit is a scam. It's not possible to learn to have perfect pitch.

Not really, there are a lot of harmony lines in there that are pretty much imperceptable to the untrained ear, and the soft synth sounds removing the attack of the note definitely makes it harder to tell a difference.
