Please someone fill me in on information to settle a dispute

I need some help.
This year I have been to two Nickelback concerts and they were both basically the same show. In both, a tribute was made to the guitar player, the brother that was tragically killed. Wonderful and sad tribute by the way. He reminded me of Ted Nudgent and Slash mixed up together. Anyway, they did state that two of the stage hands now travel with them and then they had one guy playing guitar with the show. He had an acoustic guitar rip - solo. He did a couple of songs. My understanding was that it was the brother that survived but someone has told me that no, it couldn't be, he was a drummer... the one that lived. Maybe he is just an ex-member of the band that is now traveling with Nickelback, but that is not what I understood, and I don't do drugs today! haha. Anyway, I am having an arguement with someone I know about it who is an avid Pantera fan and he said that no one in Pantera has ever played with Nickelback. From the tribute, I got the impression that he played with Nickelback. Anyway, could someone help clear some of this up. Who is the man that plays a couple songs - solo at the Nickelback concerts currently that is on tour or just finished? I told this person that I am having the spat with that I would look up information about it and get back with him, so if anyone knows anything, fill me in. Thanks! Genie

if you really must know, and it seems you must - i was half-jokingly pointing out the odd chance that this person may have gone for jerry and stuck around for nickelback, which would not warrant so hostile a reaction as announcing oneself nickelback's number one fan. which for all i know, they may have said in their initial post, which i did not read and do not care about. sorry to have disrupted an otherwise great thread with this befuddling interlude.

It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
for handing you a heart worth breaking
and I've been wrong, i've been down,
been to the bottom of every bottle
these five words in my head
scream "are we having fun yet?"

yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no
yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no

haha, ghey.

Jercho is the next Nathan Gale. He'll steal your lyrics and claim them as his own. Then shoot you.

You don't need balls to pull a trigger.

It's alright, I'll take him out long before we get to there. Unless he wants to kill Nickelback, in which case I would give my full support to the kid.

It was in 2002, and I saw Jerry live that tour. I left right after Cantrell played, even though I later found out Nickelback played "it ain't like that" with Jerry during their set.
