My setup for basic home playing is
Guitar>distortion pedal>crybaby>amp
Now, when I have my distortion pedal on and I turn on the wah, it has a muffled sound when the pedal is angled all the way back, is their any way to make it sound normal as if it wasnt on, and still use the wah when pushing down on the pedal?? does this make sense????
Dunlop Crybaby question....
I have the Steve Vai Bad Horsie wah for my guitar rig. The wah turns off automatically when the pedal is all the way back and turns on when the pedal is even slightly pushed down. I don't think you're gonna get away with having the wah turned on and not getting any effect from it.

It sounds really good through a combo amp when I'm noodling around with it. It doesn't do much more than collect dust now, though. I bought it, used it to replicate all of my favorite songs featuring wah, made some porno music and got tired of it. A wah is essentially a parameteric EQ pot on a rocker pedal. Different pedals affect the tone differently in their sweep range. You might be "close" to replicating your tone in a spot along the sweep, but it'll never be perfect unless it's off.

on the subject of dunlops - i have a crybaby and im disappointed with it. ive had it for about 3 years and it never gives me what i want. im selling the black brick.

I have a Squire Stagemaster I think it's called. They don't make them any more. I saved up my money in junior high and my dad brought me to a music store and I picked that one and a shitty Fender combo amp. I kind of eyeballed the basses as we were there but decided on the guitar. Also, my friend had a Dunlop Crybaby for a while. One of the parts in it broke and he would have had to send in to Dunlop to get the part, so he just never bothered and now has a big, blue, hundred dollar paper weight.
