Randall RH100 G2E head

ok im pretty limited on cash right now ( just bought a new guitar, ibanez s520ex mgf, its great! + another year of college, its pretty expensive
) and i just cant stand my fender fm212r anymore, its just not good for metal...
so i want something relatively cheap, but with good distortion... and someone told me to check this out:
ive heard from couple of people that its probably the best thing for metal, for the price of 500$ ...
so, anyone here on pbb ever tryed it? how good is it?

I wouldn't suggest them, they dont have any balls, especially anything lower than 250 watts...for $100 more you can a G3 series amp, which Randall fixed a lot of bugs from the previous G2 series..
Keep in mind, there's a reason why that line was discontinued...

And anyway, don't do it. Don't go for a cheap Randall solid state head. You can snag a 5150 block letter (or XXX if you're lucky) for 600 bucks or so, which is 100000x better.

i completely almost stopped playing at one time. i just got out of a band and got rid of the amp to save some space.
no im back into playing alot and looking to get another half stack
