Help with tabbing

Alright, so I want to play this awesome tune from Transformers The Movie called Autobot/Decepticon Battle on 4-string bass and I've tabbed everything so far except for this tricky little part... could anyone help me with that? It's only 25 seconds long, so it shouldn't be hard for a guy with good ears :)

Are you talking the bassline in that part itself? The beginning "busy" riff is just played in a root/fifth/octave form in E. It's a pretty "Rage Against the Machine" sort of riff.

I can't write tab on here worth a shit, but I'll try to get it to work.

Code: Select all

-----------------------------------------------------------
--------2---------0----------------2----------3~~~--------
-----2-----0--2------0--2-------2------0--2-----------------
--0------------------------0--------------------------------

Sounds good, thanks

What about the ending? It sounds simple, but I can't figure that out to save my life  Could be anything that fits melody...

You mean the quarter note part where it's pedalling the root note and has that little ascending flurry of notes at the end of the measure? I can't hear exactly what the notes are due to the nature of the recording itself. . . .

I want to record a clip of myself playing it. Too bad I suck and can never play the whole thing without a single fuckup.

Can you hear the notes at that little fill I mentioned earlier? It sounds like a really fast trill off the fifth of the root (which would make sense given the intervallic theme before) but, goddamit, I can't place it. :x

Are you talking about the part that mimics the guitar near the end of the clip or something before that?

Right near the end where the bass is pedalling quarter notes and there's that little nanosecond of time where it does a fill. Or at least sounds like it.

The part where the drums do a fill as well?

This music is driving me nuts.
