Okay- It's kinda worth it... Im not a big fan of Jackson- For $400 you could probably get a better guitar than that....I guess it all depends on what you like...

I like ESP....

This one went for $300 ... most people on this board will probably dispute this..but I personally like 'em

does jackson still make the king v?
those are sweet guitars

Those 2 Jacksons that you posted at the top of this thread are pretty horrible. The bolt on neck sucks and it's made out of shitty materials, floyd never stays in tune and is a crappy knockoff. Some floyd knockoffs actually are pretty good, but not that one.

yea dude, if you're looking for a good guitar that'll stay in tune, will be easy to tune and isn't a sensitive little bitch, don't get anything with a floyd

Horrible guitars. Those low end Jacksons play like shit. Get an ESP LTD or a Schecter in that price range. The LTD DV-200 is an excellent flying V for that price.

I used to own an Original ESP before they started making LTDs...
Its probably worth so much money today...

I have an Indonesian LTD M200-FM , my brother has a Gibson Angus Young signature SG. My guitar (including pickup replacement and installation of a Schaller floyd which I done myself in the cost) cost half the price of his. It plays infinitely better. Granted the SG would probably blow it away if it didnt have a shitty Angus Young bridge pickup, but still, it speaks volumes about LTD if they can even compete with a sig series Gibson.

They still make ESP too, not just LTD.
I was going to buy an old ESP super strat off a guy ages ago, only problem was it was hot pink. But for the price I was going to get it at I couldnt have cared less, never had enough money in the end though.

Yeah, I know they still make original ESP's....fuckin pricey though
But I owned a Kirk Hammett Oujia Board ESP with original Floyd Rose,
skull/crossbone inlays (which apprently were extremely rare) fuckin sweet.

in my experience, sig series guitars (basses anyway) aren't that great.
I had a Geddy Lee Jazz bass and a Nikki Sixx Blackbird, both
sounded like shit to the US production counter parts of both.
They are "all show, no go"

Possibly, but alot of people rate the Angus young really highly, including my Dad who has been buying guitars for the best part of 30 years now (hence why he bought it for my brother for his 18th bithday)
Dont get me wrong its a nice guitar, but I just dont see what all the fuss is about when you can get an LTD that is more versatile.

I own a low end Jackson.
It's a DX10D
It was good for learning on but I've far outgrown it's playability.
I find the RG's in the same price range play far better.
I'd like to get Schecter or a Carvin, personally.

I've alway heard Carvin custom shops play amazing. To be honest though I havent ever had a chance to try one out because it is virtually impossible to find a Carvin round here.

They do indeed play great.
I played my old guitar teacher's Carvin years ago. It was a very nice guitar.
I believe you have to order direct from Carvin.
But don't quote me on that.

I checked the website, seems you're right. Id be really wary buying a guitar for that price that I have never had the chance to play though to be honest. But hey if Jason Becker liked them enough then they must have been good.
