nah, my cousin swears by this though. It gives your signal a "boost" or something like that, right?

Yeah, it makes it more full....brings out your lower frequencies quite a bit, especially if you play metal, chunks are a lot chunkier...Im still playing with it...trying to figure it out

The lo contour knob controls the low end and the process knob controls the high end from what i remember.

But im telling you that I own one, and it doesnt really do much to the high end- Although I have the Sonic Stomp..not the rack mount

Both guitarists in the band i tech for use one... One rackmount and one stomp. They really make the sound fuller.

Really good piece of kit. I use BBE on pretty much all my recordings.

You've really gotta use it in moderation though. You can easily go anal & make things sound awful :x

I wondered about that for a long time, on the metallicabb many use them.
And one even said that it should be used on every amp :hmm:
