Ok so the musicians forum is getting a bit more lively now so I decided this would be a good time for this thread.

Basically, Someone posts a recording of a solo, then people have to name the song and artist, after that another recording is posted , someone names it, etc.

I'll start off, pretty easy one to start.

This is a cool idea. I will try and get some up. Should the solo try to sound exactly like the original, or should we be tryin to change it about style-wise to make it more interesting if ye see what I mean....

And I don't know that solo, couldn't guess it.

I played it right! Did you even listen to it?

edit: The timing is pretty good considering theres no click track or drums, and the only part I missed out was the harmony for obvious reasons, if i included that it would have been a few more bars of the same thing and pointless. Did you listen to the second one? Does no one know it?

seems fast at the beginning and sounds diff 6 or 7 secs in. the rest is correct

I dont know sounded pretty good man... but when you get to the verse part you mess up. Look up the tabs again.

Practice with a metronome. You need to develop your internal clock more.

If you practiced rhythm more as opposed to trying to be some whiz-bang lead guy, you wouldn't need backing tracks to sound good.

Or you could play solos within your ability to actually get some positive feedback instead of mutilating solos out of your skill level in this roundabout way to show off that you've created here.
