Is this in Bradford? Im trying to go to one of the gigs but I figured the London gig would be the easiest to get to from Glasgow. How would I go about getting to your gig?

get the train i suppose? haha, i dont know if theres a direct route from Glasgow to Bradford, if not you'd be best getting a train to Leeds, then a train from Leeds to Bradford which will take about 20-30 minutes, then get a taxi from the train station to Rio's which will cost about £4, but if you cant be bothered with that then just take the London show haha, Raise The Dead are supporting them on the London show and they are awesome, if you need any help with getting to the Bradford one lemme know brah.

Also, Thanks for the words guys.

Holy shit that ruled, testament were awesome, nick barker came out and played over the wall with them, he's awesome live, and a cool guy to talk to. Only gay thing about Testament was as soon as they finished they locked themselves on the tour bus and wouldnt come out, we couldnt even get a goddamn group shot with them all :x pics to follow. :aargh:

Did you fall down at the feet of Alex Skolnick ala Wayne's world?

Nick Barker is a fucking machine, his stuff on Dusk ruled.

cheers dudes! nah man alex skolnick wasnt on this tour either, it was a stand-in, either that or his looks have changed dramatically.

He's definately on this tour! You dont know your testament :x

He has longish hair to his chin now, with grey through a small portion, plays a red Ibanez and a custom Les Paul, gold top.

Also, any chance of a Testament setlist?

ah yeah, thats him i didnt really get a good look at him since he only came off the tourbus to go on stage and play, i saw chuck a few times i didnt realise how goddamn tall he is, they were sellings plectrums at the merch stand for testament for £1 and on the back it said "chucks pick" i didnt even know you needed a pick to play the microphone.

how'd you get the gig?

Posted: Tue Jul 25, 2006 7:35 pm
by Metallash
yea we all thought it wouldnt be a problem to get a group photo of everyone, but obviously we were wrong, oh well.

DBS: The promoter at the venue said a while back that if Testament werent bringing any tour support then we could have a support slot, and lucky for us they didnt so we got it.

It's at a 21 and over bar though, and we're underage.

If I was going on tour, I wouldn't want to play at a 21 and over place. Wouldn't that limit a lot of potential tickets sold?

Testament fans under 21 is going to be a minority though.

Yeah especially if it's not a big town or so. And actually I wouldn't like the feeling of pissing off a lot of teen aged fans.

Quite true, but I know plenty of people in my area that are around my age and would kill to go see them but can't because of the age limit.

I don't give a fuck what it takes, I'm going to be watching them either from the side of the stage or in the audience.

That was fucking awesome. We gained a lot of fans and got a lot of compliments. Got a great response from the crowd.

At first they made us stand outside the club and we could only watch Testament from outside looking through the door. That was the gayest shit ever. After a couple songs they actually let us go inside and hang out backstage and watch them from the side of the stage. That was the shit. I exchanged glances with fucking Eric Peterson, Chuck Billy and Greg Christian (possibly even Alex, but I couldn't tell for sure). I shook all their hands and got a pick from the guitar tech. After they were finished I hung out with Greg Christian outside and got a picture with him.

We even got a good amount of drunk people after the show come up to us and tell us how awesome we were, one couple got a picture with us
