I traded in my Fender Geddy Lee Jazz for a Fender Jazz Aerodyne.
Nice fat lows from the P pick ups, and classic Jazz bass sound from the J bridge pick up. Looks are awesome, white binding around the body, black headstock, no fret markers, strat style input jack. One of the nicest Jap made basses I've ever owned/played. Highly recommend.

You traded the Geddy for that?!? for shame!
That is a pretty bland-looking instrument.

in the world of ugly basses, Warwick has that honor, The Buzzard.

I have 2 USA Fender Jazz basses that smoke the Geddy,
I needed a "P-bass" sound, but am more comfortable playing
Jazz basses, so this was one of the better P/J hybrids out there.
The Geddy and the Aerodyne list at the same price ($650.00)
and I did an even trade, which was a great deal considering I had
a years play on the Geddy.

at one point I thought I wanted one, then I came to my senses.
I have owned in excess of 20 basses in the last 20 years,
the absolute worst was a Jackson Kelly bass, played like
shit, sounded like shit and was made like shit.
Close after that was a Steinberger (forget what model, L series,
one of the square pieces of shit) and why they cost over 1500.00
I will never know.

who? Fender?
Precision and Jazz bass, that pretty much it.
but, there is a reason they have been around 60 years and have not really changed the look/shape. Because it works.
