Korn? hiphop rock

so my boss and I are arguing this morning about Korn. do you guys think they rode the hip hop wave of rock or more grunge. I'm definately saying they are hip hop type of rock , that I don't really like along with limp bizkuit etc etc, he is saying Korn is classified as Grunge. what do you guys think ??

Korn has their own unique sound. Listening to their debut shit, I don't hear any hip hop at all, nor grunge. Who gives a fuck anyway, Korn is Korn. If you wanna classify them, put them in metal, they are too harsh for rock.
