Feedback: Yay or nay?

Post by CFH Eternal »

Granted back in the day people used to be amazed by feedback by bands such as the Jimi Hendrix Experience or Deep Purple. Nowadays people dred it more so than let it come out. Personally I think on amps like earlier Mesa Boogie and Marshall the feedback sounds great but then again I am applying this to hard/stoner rock ormetal (High on Fire, Fu Manchu, Celtic Frost, Motorhead). What is your preference on it?

I use it quite a bit. Even on bass!

If used and controlled properly feedback can be great. It just sucks though when you get it when you dont need it.
