He's hitting the toms instead of the cymbals.. and he obviously has different pans depending on the.. mhh.. bassness of the tom.

Dude, 13 steps is not that hard to play. the intro to painkiller is much harder in comparison. It does sound tricky though.
YES it has been played live, i had it on 2 bootlegs.

it's a groove in 4/4 where he is playing 8th w/ his right foot and left foot (hi-hat pedal) and play a groove on the toms w/ two hands and accenting cymlbal crashes on the first downbeat of evey measure and the third. I'm a drummer I know these things

Actually it was an attempt at ignoring sarcasm and creating a new subject about the insane time sigs Pantera used in the same thread.
On an interesting side-note there's a dude in my college with one leg who plays drums. Not exactly up to doing hi hat sizzles or double kicks.
