Picked up a Dean ML Select yesterday at a local music store that's going out of business. They're having a huge sale where everything is marked 50% off. Got it for $299. \m/ Gonna drop a Dimebucker in the bridge next paycheck...

Nice axe, very nice finish! Those 'Les Paul' esque fret inlays don't really do it for me though.

Thanks dudes. Actually I prefer the block inlays over dots. The dots are too plain or something. Still like Jackson sharkfins, but that'd look queer on a Dean ML.
Was just informed that we'll be getting our bonus checks at work next week which I'm gonna use to install a Dimebucker in the bridge. \m/ Not sure if I'm going to change the neck pickup out or not yet though...

Toss a Floyd on that ML and that's all she wrote. Well, besides your new pickups. Speaking of which, have you ever heard the Dimebucker? I hear they don't sound that great, a little too trebly from what I hear.

I've heard both ways. People either love or hate the Dimebuckers. I'll take my chances as I've never actually played one.
As for a Floyd, no thanks. I'm sick of those goddamn things. My other ML has a Floyd if I want to use it.

Yes, neck-thru.
Also I got to check out a Dimebucker last night played through a Randall. I'm definitely picking one up now.

Not wrong at all, that's the only thing I don't like about it now. Access to the upper frets is a pain in the ass, but I can't play for shit up there anyway so I'm not all that worried about it. lol
Just installed a Dimebucker in the bridge this afternoon. Let me tell you, this thing fucking SMOKES through my old 5150 block letter now. The Dimebucker shits all over the EMG 81's in my LTD.

Don't get me wrong, I like EMG's, but now that I'm using a Dimebucker it shits all over them. They sound extremely flat in comparison.

i have a dimebucker in my jackson DK, going to a rocktron "zombie rectified distortion"(for tube amps) and then to a boss 10 band eq (the one that looks like the loop station and shit. i forget what the model number is) and that all is coming out of my fender deville 4x10 60w all tube combo.
sounds fucking rad to me
you just have to know how to use your EQ and chill on the distortion.
because that thing is pretty high-output.
your old gain settings are going to be too much

My old gain settings were for an EMG 81. It's not too much. I got it all worked out.
