i'm using easton aheads and i keep busting the cores(:fur:), wood tips always tear up my drum heads, and nylons (exept for ahead) eather shatter or wear down to fast. The pro mark oak sticks i have tried have a shitty balance they were 747n's i think.

if this is a fucking PANTERA site w/ drummers in it would someone must play heavier than me.

advice would be nice!

You can sound heavy without bashing at the kit like a gorilla on PCP.

You're probably hitting the rims a lot or are playing your drums at an angle that is probably bad. Try leveling out your drums a little more and practice hitting them at a slower speed so that you get more accurate.

I was more looking for what stick others on this site use, not a critic on how I play. I dont go thru head fast or crack many cymbals, so I must not be bashing at the kit like a gorilla.

I kinda want to go back to playing with wood sticks, just wondering what models others use?

Buy different sizes/types of wood sticks until you find a pair that suits you. Just don't buy cheap music store-manufactured bullshit. You can't go wrong with any of the big companies. I use a Vic Firth sig stick that's about 2B (wood tip). I can usually go the better part of a week with the same pair.

But seriously, i recommend you to buy Zildjian John Tempesta Signature model sticks, and hold them upside down, i haven't broken them that way about 5 months, hitting hard.
