QUESTION

Hey guys,
Im new to this here forum and i have a question..
What effects/amp/pedal did Rex use in reinventing the steel? (the low growl/distorted sound)
Anywho Rock on! :aargh:

Neck and bridge pickup even, boost the lows and highs, cut out the mids, play with a pick. Rock out in anonymity.

He had a five string, but you could easily enough replicate it by tuning down to C# or D, depending on the song.

And his tone was butt-simple. No mids at all, which is why you could never hear him.

He usually played Spectors also...which are notorius for there massive bottom end...
