I think it'd be a shame...

if Rex didn't continue playing music. The guy is so talented and I never really realized it while he was in Pantera. He wrote the song Lifesblood on the new Crowbar album and played acoustic guitars and keyboards on it. The song is absolutely amazing. Totally blew me away. Plus, his bass on the album crushes.

He should do a solo album. I think he's more than capable of creating something incredible.

I'd love a new Down album, but I get the feeling that it's not going to be happening any time soon.

new down material

Apparently there was an acoustic down album and dvd recorded but Phil wouldn't let Elektra release it and Elektra won't hand it over. Man, an acoustic Down set.....*drools* :D Thats also the case with the 4th Pantera home movie.
