Maybe they originally wanted to be called Ferrara so they had to ask permission but he wouldn't let them, so they settled on Pantera.

In Summer 1991, Marc was asked to be the guitarist in the now #1 smash movie "Wayne's World." Having worked with director Penelope Spheeris in a video for "Keel," Marc had developed a relationship which resulted in his first major motion picture appearance. "Wayne's World" went on to become one of the most popular movies of its generation, and Marc was asked back to reprise his role of Tia Carrere's guitarist in the smash sequel, "Wayne's World 2."

Marc Ferrari was IN the hair metal band KEEL, who were pretty awful, but had a hilarious song about oral sex called "Cherry Lane" (I went down on Cherry Lane...all it took was a little slip o' the tongue...)

But more recently, Marc Ferrari founded and is the CEO of a music company called Master Source, which compiles generic and stock music libraries for the television industry. Much of the background music you'll hear on channels like the Food Network and Home & Garden TV actaully comes from Master Source and in some cases was actually written by this ex-hairshredder. :aargh:

Do you take this music
To be your lawfully wedded rock
To have and hold in sickness and in health
For richer or for poorer
For better or for worse
Together until death comes to yourself?

Ooh!

*twirl*

Yeah-heah!

*kick*

Wowow!

Listen up good
I got a lot to say
I know what I want
And I get my own way
I call 'em as I see 'em
I don't play by the book
One dose of volume
That's all it took
I've seen it, I've done it
I've heard it before
Now it's my turn
To settle the score
I'll sing it, I'll shout it
I'll say it again
I don't care if they
Never give in cause I'm

PROUD TO BE LOUD
PROUD TO BE LOUD
YOU KNOW I'M PROUD
PROUD TO BE LOUD

Well I've always believed
In freedom of speech
And I've always been the one
Who practiced what I preached
LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT
I'll give you the choice
But it'll snow in hell
Before I lower my voice
I live it, I breathe it
I gotta have more
It's full blast
And this means war
The power, the glory
It's callin' my name
I won't start to
Play their game cause I'm

PROUD TO BE LOUD
PROUD TO BE LOUD
I'M PROUD TO BE LOUD
AND I'LL NEVER
TURN IT DOWN AGAIN NO!!
PROUD TO BE LOUD
PROUD TO BE LOUD
I'M PROUD,
PROUD TO BE LOUD

Wooooyeahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

All the ladies in the house tonight... on the count of three, I want you to lift up your shirts so we can see them titties!

One....

Two....

i misread this. at first i saw "lived" not "live" - and so thought mark ferrari was pantera's roommate or landlord or some guy with extra couchspace and some drugs back in 88. like they all lived together in a shitty slum like GnR. then i thought, wait no that's fucking gay. and vin and dime always had $$$.

Marc wrote Proud to be Loud
Keel also recorded it and Pantera wanted to cover it.
Also in the 86 clips that I digitized has them singing a Keel song, actually two Keel songs. Back to the CIty and Speed Demon!

After Keel Marc formed Cold Sweat. Then wrote two songs Ron Keel would record in his all chick band Fair Game..

and the rest has been said

Oh and his latest band Medicine Wheel

Oh and Marc got a copy of the show cuz of me :D
