I always liked VP's drumming abilites. I think it would be sad if he did not use it anymore. I wonder if he will ever play in another band again? Cant blame him if he dont but if he did i would go just to see him. yer thoughts?

They should start a band with kirk windstien or pepper kennan on guitar or maybe jerry cantrel or the guy from Christ Inversion.

Dime and Vinny are a huge influence on my band and my family.

Especially since my drummer and lead guitar player are brothers and my twin boys are as well...

and WE ARE TEXANS too...

Without Pantera, the closest thing to heavy coming out of Texas during that time period would have been the toadies. Not that I'm downing toadies... I dig em. I jessst need my music to be HEAVIER... meaner... with more of a message and meaning.

ya know?

BTW? we need a bass player. Anyone know what happened to the chick who played bass for them? Maybe she lives near us. :pimp:

vinnie was always one of my favorite drummers. unique style. wasn't at typical metal drummer who just banged on the drums 100 MPH for no reason. He took his time and played what needed to be played when it needed to be played.

VINNIE PAUL HAS GREAT GROOVE HE WAS THE FUCKING BACK BONE OF PANTERA. AS A DRUMMER MYSELF THE GUY IS ONE OF MINE FAVORITE PERSON TO LEARN FROM, WATCHING HIM PLAY IS FUCKING AWESOME. FUCKING TIMING IN THE SONGS ARE SUPERB AND ONE HEAVY HITTER THAT MADE THE GROUND SHAKE EVERYTIME HE IS BEHIND HIS SET. HE'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO PLAY AS HE DID WITH HIS BRO THAT UNDERSTANDABLE, SHIT I FEEL THE SAME IF I WERE TO BE IN ANOTHER BAND THAT WOULD FUCKING SUCK. STILL SHAKE THE EARTH FOREVER VINNIE WITH YOUR MOTHER FUCKING SOUND BRO.

Seeing Bill Ward this summer I thought the same thing. Vinnie must drink and eat so much, to do the physical performance he does and look that way, it just make me think 1. You are predetermined and fucked.
OOOR 2. He drinks and eats so much the Roman
Kings of past would be jelous. (Along with me)

He's great man, Lombardo is quick but i think he lacks the crispness Vinnie possesses, he's great behind his stuff and especially with his dual bass, timing and there's something with that snare he's got.Its the best piece there. :fur:

dave lombardo is a boring drummer.

vinnie paul was a great drummer. my favorite song that he played with Pantera has to be Throes of Rejection. He does some of the coolest beats known to man in that song.
