Fuck man I was like a sophmore in high school , in my sign language class, and this fucker named Ross wore this shirt I had never seen before (which turned out the to be the far beyond driven skull thing with the drill) Anyways I asked him about it I he told me that it was this band named PANTERA and that they were the shit and he had seen them several times before. That was the first tiem I heard about PANTERA

The first day I heard PANTERA was on the local radio station, they played, REVOLUTION IS MY NAME... I HEAD BANGED LIKE A MOTHER FUCKER, then they told me it was PANTERA and I was like no shit ROSS was fuckin dead on about that group.

Not that anyone will probably care but the first time I heard Darrell was dead I will forever remember the time day and feeling. On lunch break my junior year, they day after the shooting, and the feeling was like some son of a bitch shoved a dagger in my heart twisted a hole, poured gasoline in lit a match inside and burned my eternal heart. That fucking beautiful person of a man, dedicated to the fans died, and it felt like another one of my close friends had died, and to this day I am am still dead in the part were Darrell touch my heart.

Thanks for the memories brother, and for that song on the radio that made me the mother fuckin headbagin son of a gun.

When I was 14 I first heard then, then the summer when I was 15 is when I really started listening to them heavily. Was workin' as a janitor and a few of my coworkers were playin' them on the boom boxes and I took an instant liking to them.

April of 92. I was 20, shit i listened to metal since 85 and never heard of them. I went to see Skid Row with a girlfriend and out came one of the greatest metal bands of all time. I realized then how out of touch with metal i was getting.

Some of you Pantera n00bs are hysterical.

Anyway I dont even know why I'm answering this bullshit but I was 11 when I got into em, (I cant believe its been 10 years since then, I'm gettin old, fuck.) and was fortunate enough to see them twice before Phil ruined the band with his heroin filled faggoty ass.
