Some of you I can see are in some serious denial, and are letting your own bias for Phil get in the way of giving credit where credit is due. Ask anyone who knows anything about singing - Dave is superior to Phil in every aspect vocally. Period. Deal with it. My aunt is a singing coach and even she agrees. The thing a lot of you are obviously forgetting is that Dave had Jesus on his side, which allowed him to give the song 110%. He was there throughout that whole performance, helping Dave nail that song.

Also, aside from the singing, hearing the guy from Dream Theater play lead guitar just sent chills down my spine in a way I never got from Dime's playing.
