listen to live a budokan and than hollow years, that's an improved solo...or beyond this live, the middle jam part is 100% jammed
and if you would WATCH the dvd..you could see it's not 3 notes per string, and his melody lines are awesome...

and he always delivers......100% flawless!
that extended solo in hollow years is terrible. his tone is terrible. his melody lines are boring, worthless and predictable and he doesnt (cant) even follow the chord tones. His live solos which are "improvised" are usually along the lines of "fast three note per string pattern" "linear scale up the b string slowly " repeat again. fucking shithouse musically. great technically. His written solos are good his improvised ones from budokon and metropolis 2000 (where is is playing with the singer) is terrible. Boring player.
