If Pantera was to 'reunite' id rather see someone like Alexi
from Bodom.
Or perhaps, how Tony Iommi and Santana release albums
with different singers on each song, Pantera could do the same
with different guitarists.
You know there'd be more than plenty willing to do so.
It sounds kinda stupid, but shit, I'd listen to it.

Im not talking just technicality here, i mean overall playing ability, which includes the ability to actually write something interesting and with a bit of emotion in it, all of which mr wylde lacks.

I got about three posts down and just decided I'd put my two cents in...
For the record Phil and Rex are the reason Pantera started slacking and pretty much broke up, they quit returning Dime and Vinnie's phone calls and stopped showing up to practice sessions...
Dimebag taught Zakk almost everything he knows about guitar, if you don't believe me dig around for it, I've heard it first hand from his mouth...so yeah, Zakk could play just about anything...

man, i never thought rex was one of the reasons pantera ended, i mostly thought it was phil, its too bad that dime and vinnie were loyal to pantera and were enthusiastic(dont know if i spelled it right) about making music and they were allways left in the dark

The only person that I know of that sounds the most similar to Dime's sound is Paul Gilbert from Racer X. He might be ok in Pantera. I like Black Label Society and not to trash Zakk but I like Ozzy without the pinch haromincs. Dime was one of a kind and there is no way you can replace talent like that.
