The build is way better than what I could do, but that's a pretty ugly finish. Why all the flame maple? A completely natural finish over a nice body wood would have looked really swell here...

JJ has the same finish job on all of his fucking guitars. I really like the surf green colour on the strat though.

The finish is a nitrocellulose lacquer, same shit they've used for 70+ years.
