The tour came through San Diego and it fucking ruled.

Lamb of God was probably better than Slayer that night, in my opinion.

The new album should be awesome.

In my upcoming travels to Europe, I will be at the Nov 2 and Nov 9 shows of this tour. Also going to see Motorhead/Clutch in Glasgow on Nov 4 and going to see Tool in Brussels on Nov 10.

With a few days in Amsterdam worked in there.

how the fuck did in flames sound with one guitarist? Please don't just say shitty 'cause you hate their music, at least say shittier due to the one guitarist thing.. But seriously I thought most of their songs were pretty dependant on two guitars.. also, setlist?

In Flames were ace, only my second time around to seeing them. Annoyed Jesper wasn't there though. There wasn't much variation to their setlist, just the usual. They played stuff from Come Clarity, The Jester Race, Colony, Clayman, and Reroute To Remain.

They had a stand in guitarist.

Oh I see  Jesper is pretty boring live anyways.

No doubt.

It wasn't as gay as I thought it would be. CoB were by far the best band there. Lamb of God are just awful, cheesy talentless crap that's been done to death by now. In Flames were ok, less gay than last time I saw them. Slayer were Slayer, entirely predictable, Araya can't sing anymore.

I have absolutely no desire to see Slayer. I never really have, since when I started listening to them I've always known they aren't what they once were.
I've seen CoB a few times, and while I don't listen to them nearly as much as I used to; they never fail to put on a great show. They're probably the funnest band I've seen live.
I've had the opportunity to see In Flames and Lamb of God, but I opted not to because In Flames is pretty gay now and Lamb of God just flat out suck.
At the In Flames gig, it was Evergrey, Nevermore, Throwdown, and In Flames (in that order).
Needless to say I left after one song into Throwdown's set. It was so pathetically unenergetic and lame. Poor bastards couldn't hold a candle to Nevermore, even if Nevermore did only have a 6 song set (which was bullshit).

Anyway, I havent' been to a show since Nevermore in May, I think, but I'm going to Necrophagist/Cannibal Corpse/Dying Fetus on the 26th.
Can't fucking wait

I saw this in Birmingham on the 1st. In Flames has no right to be ahead of Lamb of God. All in all I thought it was a great show 9/10.

Lamb of God are lame as fuck, even In Flames are better than them

I went to this the day before yesterday and it was pretty cool.. band for band:

Thine Eyes Bleed - missed 'em!

Lamb Of God - got there a song or two into their set but they were alright, much better than I expected.. They have some good songs..

Children of Bodom -

In Flames - fucking awesome! I was a bit disappointed at the setlist though.. Why the fuck did they chose to play 'Graveland' off of Jester? I mean Moonshield or Artifacts or December Flower would have been much better choices.. Also they played 'Ergonomic' from RTR.. booooring. All in all they were great though. Best song - Take this life :aargh:

Slayer - 5th time seeing them so I pretty much knew what to expect (:|), yet they managed to disappoint! I never thought I'd say this but lombardo was WAY off a couple of times.. his double bass sounded like horse galop more than once and he completely ruined the "DUN DUN... DUN DUN... DUN DUN..." part in Raining Blood by coming in a beat or two too late. Also the new songs sound like shit. I won't be seeing them again unless they play with other bands I like.

13steps you need to realize that ANY song off JR making its way into an IF set these days is a blessing to be thankful like a turkeymunching pilgrim for

i'm going to see slayer this sunday but i'm really not excited at all. actually, i might check now to see what tickets are going for on ebay, mine cost something ridiculous like $80, waste of money.
