The glam days of pantera were great. I've got the complete albums from that time and I listen to them a lot. glam metal rulez;)

Over and Out, Death Trap, Rock The World were pretty good.
Hard Ride, We'll Meet Again sound like they belong in a freakin
Miami Vice movie. Everything I'd heard that they did with the guy before

They didn't look markedly different from your typical 80's metal band. It's just a product of the time, really. Here's a flyer from an early Slayer show.

The image changes with time, but at it's heart the music stays the same. It's the music that matters and in the case of Power Metal the standard is very high indeed! And that pic with Phil in the Megadeth shirt shows them wearing their influences on their sleeves. Indeed, the thrash of CFH was just around the corner.
