Gary Roberts asked Keenan to trade him back to the Leafs so he can be close to his daughter. I would take him back in a second. I dont care how old he is, how bad his groin/knees whatever. He's Gary FUCKIN' Roberts!!! :aargh:

CP wrote:Rumour alert! Supposedly Chris Pronger got a beat reporter in Edmonton pregnant, and she told him halfway through the season. And also supposedly, that's why his wife wants him out of the city. My brother sent my sister this quote from somewhere, and she sent it to me. Total rumour, probably from a message board, but hey...gossip is good.

"Well, the reason Pronger's wife wants to leave Edmonton is not because she hates the city or the people. Apparently Pronger got a female beat reporter who covers the oilers pregnant. Christy Chorley is her name, and she told Prongs half way through the season. This is why it would be difficult for the Pronger family to settle down in edmonton."

As my brother said, they didn't really have to specify that she was female. I think we get that from the "got her pregnant" part.
Christy Chorley denies :x :x :x :x :x

Pronger's wife is a St.Louis gal. She would come back to STL in a heartbeat.

i wonder if anyone caught that interview with Bryan McCabe today. i saw it on LeafsTV. fucking toronto reporters man. they kept asking him about why he hadnt signed the contract that they agreed on a month ago until now. Finally he expanded on what the "family issues" were. They had nothing to do with his family not wanting to play in toronto, and more specifically the rumours about his wife not wanting to live there. Then he mentioned about his wife being in a wheelchair for part of the year after having their kid, which i didnt know about. and that she had just recently gone in for surgery. He broke down and then Fergy jr stepped in and was fielding questions from the reporters.

RALEIGH - An estimated 30,000 Carolina Hurricanes fans gathered under a scorching sun Tuesday for a Stanley Cup victory parade that had the trappings of a Southern summer festival.

Pfft... Not impressed.

Im really looking forward to seeing what the Leafs do this off-season. Is it that far off that we pick up Roenick and Elias?

Posted: Fri Jun 30, 2006 4:41 pm
by axlash
Roenick I can see, especially since he publicly stated that he wants to finish his career in Canada and toronto has a knack for picking up players like him and getting 25 goals out of them. Elias I doubt it. The rangers will press harder and he clearly wants to be in NYC with Jagr.

Marc Denis to TB for Freddy Modin and Fredrik Norrena.

LA Kings overpaid Rob Blake. I dont believe Blake is worth 6m/yr at this stage of his career.

Blues sign Jay McKee

last i heard is Lindros is still rehabing his wrist, so i wouldnt be suprised if nobody signs him until later in the summer when it is known that he is 100% healthy
