he isn't whining about the win. he is pointing out the lack of support for their own team. the team deserves better than that

big deal if they don't support them. maybe this was a wake up call. they haven't been in carolina but what 10 years or so? baseball in florida is still the same way even though the fish have won 2 world series.

Carolina did not deserve to win the cup. They would've been swept in 4 in the first round if koivu didn't get injured.

I don't know. Markkanen played great, except in the second game. Edmonton had every chance to win it, but Carolina was just the better team.

yeah roloson wouldn't have made much of a difference, although he probably would have won them game 1. Still, carolina came out looking to kill niggas in game 7.

MONTREAL (CP) - She is arguably one the world's best-known party girls, and now she's allegedly busted up the relationship of a Canadian hockey star.

Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton was in Toronto last weekend to attend the MuchMusic Video Awards, and while partying at the event she was photographed getting cozy with former Montreal Canadiens goalie Jose Theodore.

Trouble is, Theodore has a girlfriend, the mother of his three-month-old daughter, Romi.

The TQS French-language television network has reported that Stephanie Cloutier ended their eight-year relationship and kicked the sports star out of their Montreal home this week after learning about the affair.

"Stephanie Cloutier has kicked Theo out of her life and her house," TQS culture reporter Marie-Christine Proulx said Wednesday night.

A representative of Cloutier's sister, Veronique Cloutier, a TV star in her own right in Quebec, said there would be no comment from either sister.

It seems that moving thousands of kilometres away to Colorado hasn't diminished the interest of hometown fans in Theodore's extra-curricular exploits.

Local radio stations were abuzz after photos of the budding singer and her athlete escort were splashed across newspapers in English Canada.

Interest peaked a day later when Montreal's tabloid, Le Journal de Montreal, devoted three pages to the event.

Then came word of the apparent split between Theodore and his girlfriend.

But the latest news seems to have been lost in the hoopla over another American blond singer-actress on Thursday. The arrival of Madonna for two sold-out concerts dominated the day's newspapers.

In Theodore's new home in Denver, the Hilton hookup was barely mentioned.

"I don't know if it will make him any more valuable, unless he brings her to a couple of games - it might up the attendance," said Josh Vexler, producer for The Fan 950, which broadcasts Avalanche games.

Le Journal reported Thursday that Theodore, 29, went to Montreal's Ste-Justine Children's Hospital with Cloutier a day after his weekend with Paris.

The couple's daughter was being released from the hospital. She had been a patient in the neonatal wing after being born prematurely.

Diabetes contributed to Cloutier's difficult pregnancy, the paper said. She also endured the added strain of watching her father, ex-impresario Guy Cloutier, be sent to prison for sexually abusing former child singing star Nathalie Simard.

I read something about the molestation and the court trial, but I didn't know until that story I just posted that Jose Theodore's girlfriend was his daughter.

What a dick Will Sasso was rather unfunny last night during the awards. I grinned during his conversation with Messier, but that was it.

Yeah, he wasn't too hilarious.

You could tell he was scraping for things to say. Half the time he was on the camera he was busy pondering about what he could say.

I noticed that, it seemed like he was trying to make up something funny on the spur of the moment, but it wasn't working for him.
