(unusual) Pantera songs live

Post by Knuckle »

When I saw them in San Jose on the TGSTK tour they played Hard lines-Sunken Cheeks. Phil said they rarely or never played it live before. It was bad ass. "A HANGOVER IS INSPIRAAATION!"

In all the times I saw them, they only played Use My Third Arm once.

Yeah, i've seen floods live. It was fucking amazing. They also played the tail end of 25 years. From the part where he says "i vow lest i die tomorrow", on forward. I thought that was pretty rare. They actually busted it out after I believe either use my third arm or slaughtered. Come to think of it,during the Reinventing the steel tour, they busted out quite a few songs that i had never really heard live anywhere.

Dude that rules. I always thought they should (have) merge(d) that song with something else like the dom/hollow tracks on 101 proof. I thought that at some point pantera would have to merge all of their songs to satisfy the audience since they couldnt possibly play all the best indivudals in one set.

it's hard to keep track of what songs they did and did not play live..nobody keeps track of it and there's not THAT many Pantera bootlegs.

songs you hear from a bootleg might have been played 10 times that tour..but you think they only played it once. like 'hard lines'...i got 3 bootlegs with that one, and i think they played it pretty much.

Use my third arm they played on most of the RTS and FBD tour. I got a bootleg from Norway -2000 where they play 'death rattle'...don't know if they played it on that whole European tour or not.

They also did "floods" on most of the north american RTS tour...it's on our A++++++++ DVD bootleg (which is now available anymore sadly).

songs that i've only heard once in extremely shitty quality would be:

13 steps
I can't hide
the badge (if i remember correctly)

I did not know that they played shedding skins...and i'm not sure i believe you...never heard about that.

TGSTK is a song nobody knos for sure if they played live...nobody has ever heard it played live so one can assume that they never played it

25 years? they played that one? i know they did just the "fucking you back" part on the RTS tour..never the whole song.

On the home videos when that fucking Jap is runnin around on stage stripping off they're playing TGSTK. Slash says he has an early version version of it on a bootleg, but he's never on Soulseek.

I remember Vinnie saying in some interview that they played Hells' Wrath in Sweden. This was before TGSTK came out.

almost all of pantera's best songs are the more obscure album tracks

they opened with 13 steps on the FBD tour when I saw the in Santa Monica for my first Pantera show. It was insane, I remember that moment better than any others and I saw them 5 times.

Well the drums for TGSTK must be the same as CFH.

I have a show from Sweden august-95 at Hultsfredsfestivalen, but they didn´t play anything new. That was the first show they had played in 4 months and was working on tgstk at the time. It was a one off since Phil went on tour with Down thereafter.

I've seen Pantera 4 times live. The only time I heard them play Cemetary Gates was back in '92 on the Vulgar tour.

does anyone know if these songs where ever played live:

live in a hole
regular people
suicide note 1
we'll grind that axe for a long time
Give me a reason, 'cause I got nothing to gain/so what am I doing now?
Feeling complacent, I cannot be contained/I'm so lost and lonely now

The only time I've heard any of those live was them playing Suicide Note pt. 1 through the speakers before they opened with part 2. Never heard of any of the others being played. Though We'll Grind that Axe for a Long Time would have RULED live.
