Gonna meet Victor Wooten this weekend!

The place to talk about instruments, tab, the bands gear and anything else musically related.

Nah, I think I'll move to Minnesota instead so I can die slowly from boredom & accent poisoning.

If I send you a pic of Gwenyth Paltrow, will you sign it for me?

Yes, Claypool, bad tone. Nasally. Thin. Un-bass-like. But that's just my opinion. I never said he couldn't play, I just said he was silly, sloppy, and that I don't like his tone. Primus IS silly. Claypool IS sloppy. And I don't think a bass oughta sound like that!

So, cram it, world.

Awaiting your brilliant comebacks... :fu:

Here Victor gives a lesson on his double thumbing and some other things. It's a great lesson and he goes through it pretty quickly but it's still thorough as can be.
That was awesome.
I'm not even a bass player and that was great. Can probably use some of that technique in my guitar playing possibly.
But most of all I wish there was more people that could teach like that.
Excellent description of the technique and showing the application.
