Well I always figured Boss would be good, since they make most of the common used stomps out there- But I dont know if multi fx processor will give you a different vibe or not...but that's probably what I would buy.

Well I honestly say do an multi-FX processor if you want that many sounds and have a shit amp. Yet if you are wanting to do singel effects do this (My Opinion only)

- Dimebag Wah
- No noise gate
- Never been big on echo pedals but look around
- For your style, Probably a Krank Distortus Maximus
- The clean channel on your amp
- Boss TU-2 Tuner

Podxt Live, you don't even need to use your amp. 399$ new plus 50 for the metal shop expansion pack.

I have heard good things about the boss gt8 too.

the gt8 I've heard kills tone, unless your playing through an amp thats toneless to begin with. If your playing through a quality amp ie: Mesa or Marshall, use stomp boxes. There is no reason to have amp/cab simulators if you're already using the amp you want to simulate.

does anyone feel that pedals (even with quality patch cables) tamper with your eq? That's what I've been told. I'm also interested in an effects rack, though I only need a noisegate, verb, chorus, delay, maybe some flange. i play a mesa trip rec.

Well technically everything you put between yourself and the amp is going to affect your sound/sound quality, but with high quality effects the reduction in quality is generally not bad. Plus, if you're playing with a saturated, high-gain tone it's even less noticeable.

Not likely unless the effects have high, or low frequency boosts on them.
If you want to get a rack processor you're probably gonna end up spending more time and money- because then you'll also need a midi footswitch, then you'll have to program it

Im suprised you have a Triple Rectifier and you dont know any of this..

If one has the means to grab a tripple R, they should probably only be concerned with getting the best rack gear available. Marshall JMP1 or ADA MP1 preamps would probably sound killer.
