Yeah, too bad he just hasn't been able to live up to that lately. I like Jarome a lot, and he's a great personable guy. But he has to put up the numbers!

I'm sure more than half the league would be quite happy to have Giguere.
TSN.com wrote:Giguere won 30 games in 60 regular season appearances last season with a 2.66 goals against average
yeah... nobody wants that.
At 4 million next year for a rent-a-goalie... id think alot of teams on the verge of a cup run would be interested.
thats a lot of money under a salary cap system. Expensive goalies are a huge gamble.
Well i was thinking more along the lines of a down the stretch trade for a cup run... i dont think the payout would end up being more than 1 million for the team trading for him.
giguere will easily find a job next year. If not by october, he'll find a team by december. Ilya's a fucking idiot and teams are foolish for committing to these young goalies after one year, or even one playoff run. In fact, Rangers are rumored to be shopping around montoya, which pisses me off. I love lundqvist, but I need to see one more year out of him, especially after the way he crumbled late last year, before we decide to trade away our potential future.

Fergeson is an idiot. He'll pay Kilger more and sign Allison, but he doesn't really seem to be that interested in someone like Lindros. Odds are he'll get at least 30-40 poinds this season, and that's worth alot more than 750 k a year.

i'd rather them sign Peca and/or Carter. If they have enough left over for Lindros, then sure. If not, i wont cry about it. I WILL cry if they resign Allison. I liked him, but he's just too slow for the new NHL. I dont think it was a coincidence that when he got hurt at the end of the year, they went on an unbeaten streak with the kids all in the lineup.
I just really wanna see lindros put up 30 goals next year. I thought it was gonna happen last season but injuries took their toll. He's a perimeter player, but still good for putting up a decent amount of points and wouldn't hurt to have him as a 3rd line center.

he will sign with the stars and then be hurt half the damn season. if he can stay healthy he could help them out quite a bit. wonder if he will be on the same line as modano?
He got really unlucky this season in particular to be injured so early, but if you think that a million dollars isn't a good deal for a great second line center who's physical who will put up anywhere from 40-60 points in a season, you're an idiot.
