In all seriousness he is not. He chose to do his own thing and create his own uniqe style when everyone was trying and failing at being EVH. The solos in over the mountain are fucking incredible, I have yet to hear anyone play them correctly other than Rhoads.

Yeah i was trying to play them last night. I can nail the first couple runs but i trip up on the last few. Pretty nice fretwork
