The Hellacopters announce their first U.S. tour in 4 years

Sweden's THE HELLACOPTERS, who feature in their ranks former ENTOMBED drummer Nicke Andersson on guitar/vocals, have announced a three-week U.S. tour in March. "This will be our sixth U.S. tour since 1998 and the first one in almost four years," the band write on their web site. The dates are as follows:

Mar. 17 - San Antonio, TX @ Sanctuary
Mar. 18 - Austin, TX @ SXSW
Mar. 20 - Denver, CO @ Bluebird
Mar. 21 - Salt Lake City, UT @ Club Sound
Mar. 22 - TBA
Mar. 23 - San Diego, CA @ Casbah
Mar. 24 - San Francisco, CA @ Slim's

As previously reported, THE HELLACOPTERS' acclaimed new album, "Rock & Roll Is Dead", will receive a U.S. release on February 7 via Liquor and Poker Music. It will contain two bonus tracks not included on any other version of the recording, as well as bonus video clips for the singles "Everything's On T.V." and "I'm in the Band". An MP3 of the latter is currently available for download at their U.S. label's web site, www.liquorandpokermusic.com.

i think i remember downloading a track or two and being somewhat pleased. the name is gay as all gay hell though. :tdown: makes them come across as a rap group catering to suburban white teens.
