Just asking 'cause Phil's vocals in that song are really emotional. Was it written for a friend?

I don't know about 'Hollow', but an old friend of mine was a DJ in TX so he knew the guys, benifts of the job, and he used to refuse to play "This Love" because he said it was a true story about what Phil did to a local chic and he hated to play the song because it bothered the chic.
