calling all guitarists

what is a good, but cheap guitar with a nice thick tone? also, what would you recomend for an amp? I want to get something loud enough to play shows, but nothing insanely expensive.

I don't know how much I'm willing to spend to be honest. Maybe around 700-1000 USD total?

For a small gig you could just get a somple solid state 1x12 amp like a marshall mg100 or something.. as for fat sounding guitar, maybe an epiphone LP, or if you want something with a faster neck a cheap jackson or ibanez. Second hand shit from guitar shops can be good, i'd buy an amp from ebay but i wouldn't want a guitar that i'd never touched.

A LTD from the 400 series of your choice and a Peavey amp, Bandit or similar with more wattage.

Just don't buy a Marshall MG!!
