Dark Tranquillity is my favorite band but the nearest place is Atlanta. Damn it to hell. They came to kentucky one time and I had tickets but my (then) girlfriend became sick and I didn't go. Damn it to hell.

I haven't been to a concert in eight years. None of my friends like metal so I never go to shows. I only went to that last one(Megadeth) because I dragged my then girlfriend with me, who told me she liked it but I could tell she was lying. Honestly is the best policy in a relationship, by the way. I couldn't imagine going to a show by myself that would be turble.

When I go to concerts I expect to bar hop and do other shit with friends, so going to concerts alone wouldn't be as fun.

Is there not an underground metal/hardcore/whatever scene in your neck of the woods? When I was 14-15 and started hitting shows up I usually was by myself. But thats when you make friends with the people around you and before long, you only travel to shows alone but walk into a venue knowing 50 of your friends with be there. I used to love that.

Well, the "town" I live in has less than 3000 people in it most of which are religious and listen to country music. I guess the closest city to me that would have a scene is Nashville. Tennessee is the belt buckle of the bible belt and Nashville is the country music capital of America so, again, not much a scene for underground metal. There seems to be a mild punk scene based on what a few of my friends who grew up in Nashville say.

You can, and the same guy that checked your ticket stub to let you in in the first place could see you leave for a moment, come back, and deny you re-entry. Keep in mind bouncers are douches without doing that anyway but I dont think I've ever seen/heard a logical explanation as to why a venue would do that, not once. Thats why the best venues are either small dives or clubs that are on a bigger piece of property that include an outdoor area, this way if you leave the place you're still on the premises atleast. A lot of places dont have that luxury though which is a bummer.
