Want to learn the piano...

Post by EvilisthenewGood »

What are some good, beginner, cheap piano keyboards? I'd like one that's 'touch sensitive'. I've been checking ebay/ amazon, but I really don't know what to look for or where to begin. It doesn't need to be fancy, or play any kinds of different electronic sounds. I just want it to play piano.

Suggestions?

Easy.

Get this... http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/K ... n88es.html

Download this and install it on your computer... http://www.artvista.net/vgp2.html

If you have an old computer you may have latency issues though. If you have a newer computer, USB controller and VSTs are the way to go. Don't go buy one of those Target or Wal Mart keyboard things. They suck out loud.

After that, take some time to learn to read the Grand Staff http://www.essential-music-theory.com/grand-staff.html and look up tutorials on Youtube for finger exercises. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cseG2Cf1iM

Get a Casio. The mid-priced ones are pretty good these days and are touch-sensitive (though not weighted, you'll pay extra for that).
