basically it comes down to CDs being really expensive in Japan. in order for people to buy local pressings, as opposed to cheaper imports, they throw some bonus tracks on as incentive. |

It's not the same track twice it's 2 versions. One is a little faster I think with less/quieter synth. I kept skipping over it as I thought it was the same, Only noticed today! |

Empyrium. Definitely not a band for everyone here despite having a very prolific history. Their sound can come off as too romantic or gothic for some people despite their themes and imagery being mainly woods and nature based. That perception can have a lot to do with the very deep, almost Nick Cave like vocal style. This is their second album and last containing any metal elements as they became a strictly neo-folk outfit after this release, similar to Ulver's Kveldssanger. I think the band considered this album to be a perfect representation of the sound they were trying to create which is why they decided to change with their following two releases.
