I would like to eventually trade my Orville LP standard (Gibson made in Japan) for one of these in a couple of years.
(As long as it's a fat neck)
And since the longer I wait, the more those non-weight relieved Gibson LP standards will get more expensive. So I have been looking at the Gibson LP traditional and it sounds close enough to what I want. Yeah most of the time the electronics wiring is shit and the nut is not properly file or worse the fretjob is terrible but the first two I have always done/had helped doing mods on them.
So anyone try them out yet?
Has anyone tried the weight relieved Gibsons?

My guitarist just got a 58 les paul re-issue with a floyd and a chambered light weight body. He is a collector and has over 17 Les Pauls. He loves it but admits that to Les Paul "purists"...it is considered blasphemy and an abomination.
