Floyd on a standard strat..?

Post by Wrona »

besides installing the nut, how much trouble will i have on the bridge side of things? I know i'll have to drill and install the trem posts... but will i need to route the cavity any more?

i had to order a strat tonight scince i haver anger issues with depression that i need to take care of, (broke my guitars in the last 2 months... what a fucking idiot) and i have some sessions next week. i could do with out the floyd but i like having that assurance of the tuning stability that comes along with a floyd.

im so thrilled i had to spend every penny to my name. fuck :fur:

the musicians forum needs more action regardless of productivity.

Doesn't fender have a model that comes with a floyd? Like a maiden signature guitar.

depending on the size of the bridge you're most likely going to have to route a decent chunk out

floyds are bullshit. too many moving parts to break and wear out. you can upgrade to a better trem without going to floyds... get a wilkinson or an american strat bridge and use locking tuners... you wont have to drill and route and ruin your guitar, they are way easier to use and more reliable... sure they are cool untill you strip allen nuts and have to change a string on stage real quick and dont have needlenose pliers and other tools and fuck its annoying...
