They're not terribly heavy, depending on the wood I'd say 20 to 30 lbs. They're a pain in the ass to transport, however.
Izzy: do you realize how broad "environmental science" is?

So what do ya think pfloyd? The place is only 15 min from my house. It's great to just hang there sometimes, get advice and listen.

I wish we had a store like that but it probably wouldn't stay in business here. Omaha, while having an abundance of musical talent, has most of its focus on singer/songwriter and indie types; neither of those musical approaches call for people rushing in throngs to pick up the bass and those that do are generally "too cool" to be excited about gear.

I love watching the brothers play a drumset. They're all about going for style points with really exaggerated movements and facial expressions, even if they're just playing some simple shuffle thing.

And this guy is hilarious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FX_84iWPLU

Also fat black guys are among the most entertaining drummers. Especially the once who do little dances while they play.

Yeah, he played with Steely Dan. Funny dude regardless, I just like some his facial expressions, especially when he first opens the hi-hat like some chick just tongued his asshole.
