Tube replacement help

my classic 50 blew out 2 of it's 12ax7 tubes. i'm looking online for replacements and i was looking at the Sovtec tubes but i'm not sold. what brand should i go for? what's the best match with EL84s?

doesn't matter. you don't have to bias your preamp.

it ended up not being the tube, after poking around i found that the jack that the speakers plug into had a horrible looking solder job, so i fixed it as required

try groove tubes, very nice and not that expensive, or maybe MESA tubes, hard to find but very nice.

BTW if ou are getting a pair make sure they are matched, and of buying on ebay be careful, there is tons of cheap copies around, only buy from sellers specialized in selling tubes
