:)

i don't use it as a sampler/ whatever the word is i cant think of right now. i just drop one of the pre-set grooves and edit some shit to make it more original. lemme know if you want drums from hell, the metal add on.. i think i still have the files

thanks man, yeah pretty much all i want is some nice metal drum samples to play some riffs to.

What i downloaded (is at 99% done) is apparently all the versions of ezdrummer in one, it's over 5 gigs

so i hope it already has some drum samples

i think i got it. The files i downloaded were ISO files so i downloaded isobuster and im dragging them on to my desktop.

i have the following Drums from hell expansion, ez drummer program, twisted kit expansion, vintage rock expansion and a about 4 other expansions in another huge ass ISO file i need to bust with isobuster.

5 gigs in total

I used it in combination with FL Studio and it was pretty easy. I'm saying this as someone who doesn't know much about digital audio workstations.

You'll need sound banks (or whatever they're called) as well. Especially Drumkit From Hell (which is also the name of an old program they used to make, so don't mix those two up) if you want to program metal drumming.

when i was trying to install it i was told i needed windows framework so i downloaded that and still couldn't get it to work.

windows framework is like 500 mb but free, i have no idea what windows framework does buyt i have it on my comp now.

If you cant get it to work settle for beatcraft like i did, it's good enough for some metal beats.

I listened to your sample, pretty cool! And yeh takes a wee while to get used to tempo changes and time/sigs but in the end works awesome.

Plus, remember to add some dynamics in there. You can EQ every single beat to it's own setting, as well as change volumes and accents for everything too. Very flexible programme.

ok i managed to answer my own question

IMPORTANT: EZdrummer is not a stand alone application and therefore requires a compatible host application to operate.

The following is a shortlist of the applications EZdrummer has been tested with or otherwise known to work:
